Dishwasher Error Codes

If your dishwasher is displaying an error code and is one of these brands; Smeg, ASKO, Classique, Baumatic. We may have an explanation on this page, otherwise you may want to consult your user manual.

Smeg dishwasher error code: E1 - Acquastop failure

The anti-flooding system has been activated (for the relevant models only). The system is tripped in case of water leaks. Contact the after-sales service.

Smeg dishwasher error code: E2 - Safety level

The system which limits the water level inside the dishwasher has been tripped. Interrupt the program and switch off the dishwasher. Switch the dishwasher back on, program it again and start the washing cycle. If the problem persists, contact the after-sales service.

Smeg dishwasher error code: E3 - Water heating malfunction

The water is not heated or the heating parameters are not correct. Repeat the washing program; if the problem persists, contact the after-sales service.

Smeg dishwasher error code: E4 - Water temperature monitoring malfunction

Interrupt the program and switch off the dishwasher. Switch the dishwasher back on, program it again and start the washing cycle. If the problem persists, contact the after-sales service.

Smeg dishwasher error code: E5 - Water intake malfunction

The appliance does not take in water or does not do so correctly. Check that the water connections are correct, the water intake tap is turned on and the filter is not fouled. If the problem persists, contact the aftersales service.

Smeg dishwasher error code: E6 - Water pump-out malfunction

The appliance does not pump out the water or does not do so correctly. Check that the drain hose is not kinked or crushed and that the siphon and filter are not fouled. If the problem persists, contact the after-sales service.

Smeg dishwasher error code: E7 - Turbine flow-regulator malfunction

(for the relevant models only) The appliance is not able to “measure” the amount of water loaded accurately. Interrupt the program and switch off the dishwasher. Switch the dishwasher back on, program it again and start the washing cycle. If the problem persists, contact the after-sales service.

Smeg dishwasher error code: E8 - Alternate washing system malfunction

Interrupt the program and switch off the dishwasher. Switch the dishwasher back on, program it again and start the washing cycle. If the problem persists, contact the after-sales service.

Smeg dishwasher error code: If alarm occurs the appliance interrupts the program and signals a fault

Alarms E1, E2, E3, E4, E8 and E9 interrupt the current program immediately. The E5, E6 alarms interrupts the running program once the cause is resolved, it will bring bach the execution of the program. The alarm E7 is visualized at the end of the cycle that comes, however, brought to the end since the operation of the dishwasher is not harmed. To “reset” an alarm is necessary: Open and close the door, or turn off and on the machine. At this point is possible to program the dishwasher again. If the malfunction persists, contact your authorised Service Centre.

Asko dishwasher error code: F10 - Overfilling

Call the service department.

Asko dishwasher error code: F11 - Water outlet fault

There’s a number of possible causes and relevant actions to take:
Blocked dainage hose: Loosen the drainage hose where it connects to the sink unit’s water trap. Check that no debris has fastened. Is the cone-shaped part of the pipe cut to an inner diameter of at least 14 mm?
Kink in the drain hose: Check that the hose is free from kinks and sharp bends.
The filters are blocked: Clean the coarse and fine filters
The filter is not locked completely: Ensure filter is completely locked with handle pointing towards the door.
Debris in the drainage pump: clean the drainage pump.
After taking the appropriate action, turn off the machine with the main power switch and then turn it on again to clear the error message from the display.

Asko dishwasher error code: F12 - Water inlet fault 2

Check that the water tap is on. Check whether dishwasher inlet hose is connected to a pressure limiting valve (some pressure limiting valves may restrict the supply of water to the dishwasher).

Asko dishwasher error code: F40 - inlet valve leakage

Turn off the water tap and call the service department.

Asko dishwasher error code: F41 - Temperature stop fault 3

Check plugs/fuses. Also check that the drainage hose is fitted in accordance with the installation instructions. If the problem persists, cut the power using the building’s main power switch and call the service department.

Asko dishwasher error code: F51 - Temperature stop fault 4

Check plugs/fuses. If the problem persists, cut the power using the building’s main power switch and call the service department.

Asko dishwasher error code: F52 - Water level fault

Check that the outer filter on the inlet hose is not blocked. Also check that the drainage hose is fitted in accordance with the installation instructions. If the problem persists, call the service department.

Asko dishwasher error code: F53 - Circulation fault

Check that the filters are not blocked. Restart the dishwasher. If the problem persists, call the service department.

Asko dishwasher error code: F54 - Overfilling 2

Turn off the water tap and call the service department.

Asko dishwasher error code: F55 - Communication fault MCU

(MCU is an abbreviation of “”Motor Control Unit””). Call the service department.

Classique

Classique Dishwasher error code: The Glass light flicker fleetly - Overflow.

Some element of dishwasher leaks. Warning: If overflow occurs, turn off the main water supply before calling a service. If there is water in the base pan because of an overfill or small leak, the water should be removed before restarting the dishwasher.”

Classique Dishwasher error code: The Rapid light flicker fleetly - Longer inlet time.

Faucets is not opened, or water intake is restricted, or water pressure is too low.

Classique Dishwasher error code: E1 - Longer inlet time.

Faucet is not opened, or water intake is restricted, or water pressure is too low.

Classique Dishwasher error code: E4 - Overflow.

Some element of the dishwasher leaks.

Classique Dishwasher error code: E8 - Failure of orientation of distributary valve.

Circuit is open or broken distributary valve.

Warning: If overflow occurs, turn off the main water supply before calling a service. If the base pan overflows:

Turn off the main water supply before calling for service.

Remove the excess water before restarting the dishwasher.

Baumatic

Baumatic Dishwasher error code: The ECO light flickers - Failure of water diverter

Open circuit or break of Water Diverter. WARNING: If overflow occurs, turn off the main water supply before calling a service. If there is water in the base pan because of an overfill or small leak, the water should be removed before restarting the dishwasher.

Baumatic Dishwasher error code: E1 - Longer inlet time.

Faucet is not opened, or water intake is restricted, or water pressure is too low.

Baumatic Dishwasher error code: E4 - Overflow.

Some element of the dishwasher leaks

Baumatic Dishwasher error code: E8 - Failure of orientation of distributary valve.
